Q :How can I change my e-mail login ID and Password?
Changing your passwords simply sending a short e-mail message to us.
The procedure is as follows:
1. Start a new e-mail message addressed to support@lankacom.net 2. Subject should be "Change of Email password" 3. Put the following in the body of the message: userid = your_email_address
oldpassword = your_old_password newpassword = your_new_password Comment = write if there is anything to be added.
Be sure to replace the text on the right hand side with the correct information. For userid please put only the first part of your id. Put the '@lankacom.net' part if you wish. Your new password must be entered exactly as you want it. Case matters.
4. Send the message. 5. If you have changed your password, try retrieving new mail. 6. If you have changed your login password, try logging in again. 7. For steps 5 and 6 above, if you succeeded with the new passwords, then the request was successful. If you could not get in, then try the old passwords.
Things to note A reply will always be sent for every request detailing whether the request succeeded or failed and why.
If you request, the password change would go into effect IMMEDIATELY, meaning that you may have to supply the new password to even change it again. If you requested a login password change and it succeeded, the new password would go into effect the next time you log on.
If your request failed for one reason or another, a response will be sent detailing the reason.
1. In order to change the number to dial-up, go to the icon called "My Computer" usually located on the desktop and double click on it. 2. In this window select the icon called "Dial-Up Networking" and double click on that as well. 3. At this point you will see an icon named lankacom or accordingly. 4. Right Click on the icon lankacom and then select "Properties" from the menu. 5. In this window you will see the telephone number which is dialed. 6. To change the number simply put the cursor in this box, delete the old number and type in the new one. 7. Once this is done just click OK at the bottom and then close down the open windows. 8. At this point you can continue as normal to dial-up to LankaCom.
